PSA: Canadian Internet Privacy
The Conservative government has promised to re-introduce and ram through a new set of “Lawful Access” electronic surveillance legislation (specifically, Bill C-50, C-51, C-52) and a handful of other crime bills within the first 100 days of Parliament. These laws allow authorities to access the private information of any Canadian, at any time, without a warrant, at cost to the taxpayer.
Remind Stephen Harper that the 76% of Canadians who didn’t vote for him aren’t into fascism. Sign the petition and send emails to your elected officials at stopspying.ca.
